BRAMPTON HONEY BADGERS OFFICIAL STATEMENT

On behalf of our entire Honey Badgers Organization, we sincerely apologize for the extreme disappointment and frustration caused by our inability to play last night's game. As an organization, we were fully prepared and incredibly excited to host the first-ever CEBL Finals game in Brampton at the CAA Centre. We were ready to create a historic night for our team, our fans, and our community.

Player and referee safety must always come first. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we determined the playing surface was unsafe for competition. While we fully respect and endorse that decision's importance, we share your disappointment.

We understand how much you have invested in this team—not only financially, but through your time, energy, loyalty, and passion for the Brampton Honey Badgers. We know how much the opportunity to experience a CEBL Finals game right here in Brampton meant to you. It meant the same to us.

Make no mistake, however—we are motivated, focused, and ready to compete. We will travel to Winnipeg to play in a one-game CEBL Final on Saturday, consistent with the single-game championship format that has been used in previous CEBL Finals.

We are incredibly proud of our team and remain determined to finish what we started. 

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of the Honey Badgers, especially during a difficult and disappointing circumstance. Your support means more to our organization than we can put into words.
