Honey Badgers and Farm Boy Deliver Community and Corporate Partnership

Honey Badgers Staff • May 10, 2019

The Hamilton Honey Badgers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced Friday the addition of Farm Boy to its corporate roster as Official Fresh Market Partner. Ontario’s fastest growing local fresh food retailer, Farm BoyTM, will play a major role in creating a fun, family atmosphere at Honey Badgers home games, and will make a big assist to the team in its community initiatives.

“We’re excited to welcome Farm Boy to the Honey Badgers organization as we work together, as good teammates do, on building a collaborative game plan that starts with shared values,” said John Lashway, President, Hamilton Honey Badgers. “As this relationship grows, I am really looking forward to delivering with Farm Boy on our joint commitment to becoming valued community partners.”

The agreement is highlighted by a Community Champion ticket program, where Farm Boy and the Honey Badgers will donate tickets for upcoming home games to a series of local Hamilton community organizations.

Fans will see Farm Boy brand recognition on the Honey Badgers home court, signage throughout FirstOntario Centre and through a series of digital platforms, including CEBL.tv. Farm Boy will also be bringing its mascot, LULU the Cow, and friend of Hammer – the Honey Badgers mascot, to a select number of home games.

CEBL teams will play a 20-game regular season from May 9 to August 15, culminating with a league championship playoff at a site to be announced.

Hamilton’s historic first game is scheduled for Sunday, May 12 when Edmonton visits the Honey Badgers at FirstOntario Centre.
