The Brampton Honey Badgers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced Wednesday that Niagara College will be an official partner of the club beginning in 2024. The partnership will highlight the wide range of diploma, certificate, and bachelor degree programs offered at the two campuses, in addition to a focus on community involvement.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Niagara College to our team as an official partner this summer,” said Chris Rodricks, senior director of business operations for the Brampton Honey Badgers. “From the first conversation, it was made abundantly clear that we had several aligned goals, specifically regarding community involvement and growth.”

Together, the Honey Badgers and Niagara College will join forces this summer at a number of community events throughout the greater Brampton area to bring awareness to a variety of causes while also connecting with future Niagara College students.

“Niagara College is proud to partner with the Brampton Honey Badgers,” said Ian Aikenhead, director of student recruitment at Niagara College. “As an organization, the Honey Badgers have demonstrated a commitment to excellence and a dedication to the community, which are values that align with Niagara College’s welcoming, passionate and trailblazing spirit. We look forward to an exciting partnership for the 2024 season to enhance the experience for community fans and future NC students.”

The Honey Badgers open the 2024 campaign at home against the Niagara River Lions as part of Home Opener Weekend at the CAA Centre.
