Steel City Crew and Lil Badgers Tryouts
While the Hamilton Honey Badgers and the Canadian Elite Basketball League deliver world class pro basketball that’s just one step below the NBA, the fast-paced FIBA game and nonstop action is unsurpassed in providing edge-of-your-seat excitement for the whole family! Our Steel City Crew and Lil Badgers squads fuel the entertainment both on the court and throughout the arena to ensure an event experience that keep our fans coming back!
We are hosting tryouts for both squads Sunday, March 20 at Defining Movement Dance. Please read below for more details.
Steel City Crew
We are looking for positive, energetic and outgoing performers to join Steel City Crew this season! As a member of SSC you will greet fans upon their arrival, dazzle the crowd with precision dance routines, and participate in various in-game activities. You may also represent the Honey Badgers at community events.
Steel City Crew Members should:
- Be available for all 10
Home Games at FirstOntario Centre from May to August
- Be available to rehearse at least one time per week during the season
- Women and Men welcome
- Bring experience with dance, cheer and/or gymnastics
Tryouts:
- Sunday, March 20 from 10 a.m. - Noon
- Defining Movement Dance
- Dress in all black and proper shoe attire
- Bring refreshments
- Bring performing resume
- $15 fee on site - no cash payments
- This will be a dance tryout but if you have a special skill set, feel free to bring necessary props. Please email Maria at

Lil Badgers
The Lil Badgers are an extension of Steel City Crew and provides an opportunity for younger dancers to learn from the older performers and gain experience performing in front of a crowd.
Lil Badgers should:
- Be available for all 10 Home Games at FirstOntario Centre from May to August
- Be available to rehearse at least one time per week during the season
- Boys and girls ages 9-16
- Have some background with dance
Tryouts:
- Sunday, March 20 from 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
- Defining Movement Dance
- Dress in all black and proper shoe attire
- Bring refreshments
