The Brampton Honey Badgers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL), in partnership with Foot Locker, the leading footwear and apparel retailer, announced Thursday the release of the We Are Brampton game jersey. Brampton becomes the first CEBL franchise to showcase its merchandise at local Foot Locker locations. The collaboration is another exciting partnership between Foot Locker and Canada’s professional basketball league.

“The City of Brampton now has its own team to rally behind, to call its own,” said Michael Cvitkovic, president, Brampton Honey Badgers. “With iconic brands such as Foot Locker on our team, the entire community will begin to leverage the Honey Badgers as a way to promote our city since basketball transcends sport to include culture, music, art, fashion, community, and business.”

This new look, which pays tribute to the diversity of the Brampton community, complements the classic black and gold Honey Badgers brand. 

“My vision for the We Are Brampton branding was to recognize the diversity of the Brampton market where people of 250 ethnic origins reside and 52 percent of the people was born outside of Canada, yet all can come together within the inclusiveness that is inherent within the sport of basketball,” said John Lashway, former Honey Badgers president and now Deputy Commissioner of the CEBL. “Each stripe in the jersey represents a national team colour of multiple countries. Everyone is collectively part of the Brampton community team.”

We Are Brampton game jerseys are now available, along with other Brampton Honey Badgers merchandise, at the iconic Foot Locker Canada community location in Shoppers World, 499 Main Street South in Brampton.

The new merchandise was produced by CEBL official supplier, New Era and joins a list of fresh designs for fans to rep their favourite basketball teams through New Era caps, hoodies, shirts, and game jerseys.
