BRAMPTON HONEY BADGERS LAUNCH “B-1st” CAMPAIGN TO PROMOTE ITS CITY

Kyle Warrener • Sep 21, 2023

The Brampton Honey Badgers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced Thursday the launch of its B-1st campaign, aimed at showcasing the incredible people, businesses, communities, and organizations that call Brampton home.

The
B-1st campaign is also a commitment by Brampton’s only professional sports team to seek first within its own City for services, people and products.

“The Honey Badgers have been overwhelmed with the support of the Brampton community during its first year. The
B-1st campaign will not only shine a spotlight on our local champions but also showcase the incredible businesses that make up our vibrant city,” said Michael Cvitkovic, president, Brampton Honey Badgers. “While we must remain fiscally responsible, we are committed to first look within our own community for business services, game entertainment, community engagement, RFPs, and people. Just as our pro basketball team is a huge source of civic pride, so to is our incredible business community. I encourage other prominent Brampton businesses to join the B-1st team and promote other thriving local businesses.”

For a third year, the City of Brampton has been ranked as one of Canada’s Top 20 locations to invest by Site Selection Magazine. Competing on an international stage, Brampton maintains its place on the list. An innovation and technology hub, Brampton remains the fastest growing large city in Canada.
