Hamilton Honey Badgers Announce Basketball Operations Staff

Head Coach and General Manager Chantal Vallée headline an experienced and innovative team

The Hamilton Honey Badgers of the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced Wednesday its complete Basketball Operations staff for the 2019 season, led by Head Coach and General Manager Chantal Vallée.

The staff showcases experience in professional, international and university basketball coaching, while also highlighting advanced scouting and analytics. Honey Badgers coaches have worked with NBA, NBA G League, numerous FIBA pro leagues, NCAA, and U Sports athletes.

“Chantal applied the same persistence and exhaustive analysis she uses in forming our player roster to hiring our basketball operations staff,” said team president John Lashway. “These basketball leaders bring high energy, a breadth of experience, and a full commitment to our team values.”

The CEBL, the official professional league partner of Canada Basketball, opens its inaugural season May 9 with franchises in Fraser Valley (Abbotsford), Edmonton, Guelph, Hamilton, Saskatchewan (Saskatoon), and Niagara (St. Catharines). CEBL teams will play a 20-game regular season from May 9 to August 15, culminating with a league championship playoff at a site to be announced.

Hamilton’s historic first game is scheduled for Sunday, May 12 when Edmonton visits the Honey Badgers at FirstOntario Centre. Honey Badgers season tickets are available by contacting tickets@honeybadgers.ca while individual tickets can also be purchased through Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.ca.
