Joining the Honey Badgers after making his professional debut with the Brown Ballers on July 19 where he recorded a team-high 21 points on 8-for-12 shooting along with four assists vs. Stars of Storrs.

2021-22: Averaged 12.7 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 1.7 steals, and 27.9 minutes in 23 games in second season with the Bold … Recorded 20+ points in four games including a 26-point outing on 10-for-13 shooting February 17 vs. Brock … Posted 22 points (9-for-10) and nine assists January 28 vs. Western … Did it all with 27 points, seven made three-pointers, three rebounds, four assists, and five steals November 11 vs. Waterloo.

 

2020-21: Transferred to Toronto Metropolitan University … Averaged 15.1 points, 3.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.0 steals, and 27.0 minutes in 14 games as a sophomore … Registered his third 25+ point game of the season with 27 points in 39 minutes February 26 vs. Ottawa … Had his first career double-double recording 26 points and 10 assists along with seven rebounds November 27 vs. Ontario Tech … In his first game with the Bold, he scored 26 points November 5 vs. Queen’s.

SEAN EAST II AWARDED ALL-CEBL FIRST TEAM SELECTION

The Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) announced today that Honey Badgers star guard Sean East II has earned a spot on the 2026 All-CEBL First Team, his second straight year doing so. In his 16 regular season games played for the organization this season, the team went 9-7 while East II recorded 22.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 6.8 assists, and 2.0 steals in 35.0 minutes per game. On July 25, Sean recorded a Honey Badgers franchise record 38 points in a crucial victory over the Winnipeg Sea Bears. This was also his personal CEBL career-high. East II becomes the fifth Honey Badgers player to be named to the All-CEBL First Team, and the first since 2022. He closed the regular season scoring 365 points, the sixth most in the CEBL for the 2026 campaign and the second most scored by a Honey Badgers player in any single-season in franchise history. He finished the season ranked top-10 in a number of other categories as well, including fourth in total assists (108), fifth in total steals (32), tied for third in target score winners (4), 8th in free throws made (65), and second in free throw percentage (min. 50 attempts; .915). The Brampton Honey Badgers congratulate the Winnipeg Sea Bears on their victory over our team to win the CEBL National Championship. We also acknowledge the incredible support of the Winnipeg fans for their team. We want to thank the Brampton players & staff for their incredible accomplishment of winning the Eastern Conference after finishing last in the prior year. At the same time, we thank our fans in Brampton for their growing support throughout the season and their understanding regarding the events causing the cancellation of the first CEBL Finals home game in Brampton's history. On behalf of our entire Honey Badgers Organization, we sincerely apologize for the extreme disappointment and frustration caused by our inability to play last night's game. As an organization, we were fully prepared and incredibly excited to host the first-ever CEBL Finals game in Brampton at the CAA Centre. We were ready to create a historic night for our team, our fans, and our community. Player and referee safety must always come first. Due to circumstances beyond our control, we determined the playing surface was unsafe for competition. While we fully respect and endorse that decision's importance, we share your disappointment. We understand how much you have invested in this team—not only financially, but through your time, energy, loyalty, and passion for the Brampton Honey Badgers. We know how much the opportunity to experience a CEBL Finals game right here in Brampton meant to you. It meant the same to us. Make no mistake, however—we are motivated, focused, and ready to compete. We will travel to Winnipeg to play in a one-game CEBL Final on Saturday, consistent with the single-game championship format that has been used in previous CEBL Finals.
